Why Solidarity?
Creating a vacation to match your values

Carlos and Maura are local artisans you may meet during your time here. Here, they pose in front of their hammocks with their children displaying some of their handmade crafts.Solidarity is about more than just living near someone or being part of a group. For all of us here at Solidarity Travels, it has to do with sharing a common goal and a commitment to each other’s well being. Through Solidarity Travels we want to help people of varying backgrounds from all over the world come together, if only for a few weeks, to build a sense of community that crosses boundaries both real and imagined. We’ll build it together through language, shared work and shared fun.

As conscious consumers we all make choices on a daily basis about how to spend our money in a way that we feel is responsible. Of course, we want quality in return for our investment, but we also want to know that we are being good stewards in the process. Through Solidarity Travels, we have created a vacation to match your principles. From a personal point of view, we do it because it’s the only way we can give 110% to this work. We also know it's the best way to provide you with a rewarding and unique experience.

At Solidarity Travels we have built an experience for people who care-- and would like to learn more about--the natural environment and the beauty and art of local cultures. We have chosen a wonderful location on Ecuador’s charming, mostly undiscovered Southern coast for your time with us. It is the place that we call home. So we are invested not only in your enjoyment, but in the well-being of all the natural wonders, local businesses and people in this great community.
Our Mission
